Animation- A sunrise industry
Today North American film and television programme producers are increasingly outsourcing work from India and other Asian countries. In India the demand for skilled animators is insatiable. Animators are required in various fields including movie production special effects, game creation, website design, e-learning, product demos and so much more. While outsourcing is the main driver behind the animation industry today, domestic demand is also growing. Original content has started being produced from India. For example, Battledust: The Championship, India's first 3D fighting game, was created by Paradox studios, a Reliance company. The Legend Of Buddha, an Indian animation film, was India's official entry in the animated film category at the 2005 Oscars. In more recent times, animated movies like Hanuman and Krishna with completely Indian content, have had tremendous success.
So where do you fit into the animation scenario?
How would you know if you would enjoy a career in animation? It's quite simple really. You should like to draw and doodle. You should have an eye for detail, good aesthetic sense and keen sense of observation. And oh yes, you should know at least the basic handling of a computer. If you have a Fine arts degree or diploma -it's all the better though not necessary. If you have the basic skills we will provide you the technical skills and animation software knowledge to kickstart your animation career.
