I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit this website. I am Manipal Dhariwal, CEO of Sebiz Infotech (www.sebiz.net) and founder-director of Netsmartz (www.netsmartz.net). I am also the founder of Arena Animation in Mohali. I would like to explain to you the reasons why we opened up an Arena Animation Center.
Sebiz is primarily an IT company and we offer a range of services including software development and consultancy, elearning solutions, search engine optimization services etc. Of late we have also started a Design Services Unit. Both our Elearning and Design
Services units will be seeing explosive growth in the next couple of years and we will need at least 400 -500 people to be a part of the operations. Looking at the huge shortage of qualified manpower, we realized recruitment of such a large number of design professionals would be an extremely challenging task especially in niche areas like design and animation. After much brainstorming which did yield some wonderful ideas but not very practical plans, we decided we should create our design resources ourselves and not wait for them to come to us. Why not start a design education center that would create industry-ready design professionals? We did some research and found out that Arena Animation won hands down as the best design education center with a franchise model. We collaborated with the Arena management and that's how Arena Animation Mohali took shape.
When it comes to Arena Animation Centers, our center is very unique. We are probably the only Arena Animation center started by an IT company. We felt confident we should be able to use our expertise and industry knowledge to educate our students better. We are also unique because we hope to fill our own recruitment needs through the Arena center. We aim to make our students industry ready in every way so that once they graduate they can either work with us or can take their place proudly in any other IT company.
Why did we start our company here? Well, just like most of you I am also a Punjabi. My family moved from here when I was 7 and I lived abroad after that. In 1999, we started Netsmartz in Rochester, New York and in 2001 we wanted to set up a development center in India. I went around the country scouting for probable locations - going to Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai but home is where the heart is and my heart was always in Punjab. Infrastructure at Delhi, Bombay and Bangalore was much better than Mohali. 7 years ago we hardly had any bandwidth to speak of. However we had made a mental commitment to the people here and to our home state and we just had to start here. No other place really felt like home!
Besides our ambitious growth plans on the anvil, we also have our headquarters coming up in the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park in Chandigarh. Our next step forward is to establish ourselves in the education space so we can see industry ready, professional talent in this region bloom. We want to make this the No. 1 Arena Animation center in the country and God willing, and with your help we will do just that! Thank you and take care!
